County of Bexar

The Bexar County Juvenile Probation Department works to promote the rehabilitation and well-being of child offenders and their families by redirecting behavior with an emphasis placed on individual responsibility and the protection and safety of the community. It is a fundamental part of the Juvenile Justice System and also supervises delinquent conduct by children. The department maintains probation field services and court and probation services and education divisions. The Bexar County Juvenile Probation Department, located in San Antonio, operates a 198-bed detention center that provides a range of educational and counseling programs that are supported by the San Antonio Independent School District.
