Citizens Medical Center, founded in 1956, is a nonprofit, community-owned 368-bed acute care hospital serving Victoria and South Texas. The center provides cancer care, and the Commission has recognized its oncology program on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Citizens Medical Center is one of only 76 institutions in Texas receiving approved program status. Citizens cancer program includes medical, surgical and radiation oncology.
