Coastal Plains Community MHMR Center, located in Portland, Texas, is a mental health service provider. The center was formed in 1996 through the merger of various community of mental health and mental retardation organizations that include the Rio Grande State Center, San Antonio State Hospital and the Corpus Christi State School. The center s respite care provides individuals assistance and supervision with their activities of daily living, medications and money management. It also offers psychosocial rehabilitation, youth and family and employment support programs and assertive community treatments.
