Children's Advocacy Center
The Children's Advocacy Center of the South Plains serves children aged 2 to 17, as well as developmentally delayed adults, who have been victims of abuse or trauma. Their mission is to unite community resources to expedite the healing process for child victims in Lubbock County and the surrounding South Plains counties.
In 2022, the center provided support to 1,094 children and their non-offending family members, offering a child-friendly environment for interviews and therapy services. They also conduct abuse prevention programs and training for law enforcement and Child Protective Services to enhance responses to sexual abuse crimes.
