Founded in 1997, First Choice Healthcare provides a range of medical and health care services for the residents of Hidalgo, Cameron, Starr and Willacy counties in Texas. The center offers wound, orthopedic and tracheostomy care services. It provides medical equipment through First Choice DME, which provides a range of mobility products for patients. First Choice Healthcare offers physical, speech, respiratory and occupational therapy services. The center maintains a more than 1,000-square-foot laboratory for staff training and education. It is a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, American Diabetic Association, McAllen Chamber of Commerce, Council of Better Business Bureau, American Cancer Society, and Texas Association of Health Care. First Choice Healthcare has received the Silver Star in the Quality Achievement Award for acute care hospitalization and the management of oral medication.
