Board of Water Works Engineering Department

The Board of Water Works provides water service to the community of Pueblo, Colo. In addition, it bills and collects wastewater and storm water charges for the city of Pueblo. Water meters, owned and maintained by the Board of Water Works, are read monthly. The service line, from the water main in the street to the point of use, is owned by the property owner. Bills for water service are issued a few days after the meter is read. Bills are due upon receipt, delinquent if not paid within twenty days. The board reserves to itself all property rights to the water furnished by the board to its customers. These rights include, for a portion of the Board's water supply, the right to reuse, to make a succession of uses, to recapture after a customer's first use, and to dispose of the water so reclaimed, to its complete and absolute consumption.
