The Bells Volunteer Fire Department, founded in 1951, is a dedicated team of firefighters serving the City of Bells and the surrounding area of Grayson County in Texas. With a service area of 61 square miles and a population of 4,800, the department responds to approximately 250 calls per year, providing fire suppression, motor vehicle collision assistance, public assists, and EMS support. Equipped with a fleet of engines, brush trucks, and a battalion vehicle, the department is committed to continuous training and readiness to ensure the safety of the community.

Operating under the administration of the City of Bells, the Bells Volunteer Fire Department is a 100% volunteer organization. Comprised of resolute men and women firefighters, the department offers mutual aid to neighboring fire departments and serves a district primarily consisting of agriculture and livestock. With certified FF-II members, including paramedics and EMTs, the department remains prepared to handle emergencies in a rural area bordered by the Red River and intersected by major highways.
