Aviation Unmanned Vehicle Museum

The Aviation Unmanned Vehicle Museum (AUVM) in Caddo Mills, TX is the only US military drone museum in the United States. Founded by retired Lt. Col. Harold Red Smith, AUVM is dedicated to honoring the men and women in the military and private sector who pioneered remotely piloted vehicles, commonly known as drones. With over 40 unmanned aircraft and a collection of military vehicles and artifacts associated with the Vietnam War and unmanned aviation, AUVM strives to educate the public about the history and uses of unmanned aircraft vehicles.

Owned and operated by three generations of Smiths, AUVM offers a unique experience with its fully restored drones, hundreds of artifacts, and ongoing restoration projects. Lt. Col. Harold Red Smith, a decorated war hero and one of the original founders of the National Association for Remotely Piloted Vehicles, brings his extensive military experience and expertise to the museum.
