History
The Austin Tennis Center is the product of a City approved bond from the early 1990's. The land was then set aside from existing park land after a careful search for the best long term location for the new tennis center project. Through a collaboration between the City of Austin and the Austin Independent School District, the Austin Tennis Center came to a realization. The Austin Tennis Center now includes ten full size courts, 8 36ft courts, a full service pro shop, two covered rest areas, bleachers, and USTA/USPTA certified programming for all ages. The Austin Tennis Center is currently in Phase I of development. After completion, the Austin Tennis Center is expected to include over 32 tennis courts and an additional pro shop/ pro's office.

Easy reservation system. Check in at the front desk. Sometimes they move your court. Make sure you choose tennis or pickleball. There are 8 courts and it's only $8 an hour. I had a great time....
Quite frankly, I did not play tennis on these courts. However, the courts did look quite nice. On the other hand, Austin Tennis Center is a nice starting spot to run on the Walnut Creek Trail....
Because it's wayyyy out in the middle of no where with nothing but nature around it, the wind screens are no match for the winds there. Be prepared! Otherwise, it's a fine place to play tennis...
A nice location - lots of courts with various features. The location catches good breezes to keep you cool, and, gives you some good vistas and quiet spots to enjoy the game. Lots of choices on...
