The Association of Former Students, founded in 1879 and located in College Station, Texas, offers educational assistance to students. The association provides a variety of services, such as student loans, audits and financial aid. It has been formed by the support of charitable and educational organization for extending financial and other aid to students of Texas. It also provides social, literary and scientific programs by perpetuating and promoting the educational interests and welfare of the students of Texas A&M University and educational programs in the state of Texas. The association organizes various events, such as Alaska's Coastal Wilderness, Cruise the Mediterranean Crystal, Aggie Saltwater Classic and Cruise the Baltic Sea. It also organizes other programs that include employment recruitment, reunion parties and dinners.
