Architecture Center Houston (ArCH) is a dynamic organization that fosters public appreciation for architecture and its impact on the human experience through a variety of design-focused programs. From architectural tours and educational initiatives for K-12 students to community events, lectures, film festivals, and exhibitions, ArCH celebrates Houston's rich architectural and cultural heritage, engaging over 4,500 individuals annually. Located in the historic Market Square district of Downtown Houston, ArCH's new space at 902 Commerce Street showcases the transformative power of architecture and serves as a demonstration area for innovative flood mitigation systems.
ArCH is a collaborative effort between the Houston Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Houston) and the Architecture Center Houston Foundation. With the support of AIA Houston members, industry allies, charitable foundations, and individual donors, ArCH has been able to rebuild its space after being flooded during Hurricane Harvey. Through partnerships with local schools, government entities, historic preservation organizations, nonprofits, and media outlets, ArCH continues to expand its reach and impact, making it the go-to destination for experiencing and understanding architecture and design in Greater Houston.
