Antara School of Indian Music

History

Antara School of Indian Classical Music began as an organization promoting Indian Classical Music in Kolkata, India. Led by sitarist Indrajit Banerjee, the Austin, Texas location now offers sitar and raga lessons on all instruments on a semester basis.

Specialties

Antara School of Indian Classical Music offers sitar lessons for beginners to advanced students. We also offer Indian raga lessons on any instrument. Teacher and Founder sitarist Indrajit Banerjee is one of the premiere sitarists from India, and many of his advanced students have gone on to have successful careers as sitar players. He is a dedicated teacher and performer, and can adapt his teaching to students needs. Classes are conducted in person or on skype on a semester basis.
