About Jose Orona Life took an unexpected turn for Jose Luis Orona, Jr., when he lost his younger brother to cancer. After graduating from Texas A&M University in 2006 with an engineering degree, Jose rejected offers from several engineering firms to instead work as a Sales Professional for Family Heritage Life Insurance Company of America (FHL). "For the first time, I saw how people can lose everything they'd worked so hard to achieve when faced with things like cancer," Jose says. "I really wanted to raise awareness about the huge difference that being prepared can make." In his free time, Jose enjoys rooting for the Texas A&M Aggies and the San Antonio Spurs as well as being with friends and family.
