Amarillo Public Library was founded in 1902 and is located in Amarillo, Texas. It offers a wide variety of services, such as books by mail, interlibrary loan, meeting rooms, reserves, teacher services and telephone services. Amarillo Public Library has meeting rooms that are available to nonprofit community organizations. The library has affiliation with the city of Amarillo, Friends of the Amarillo Library, Texas Panhandle Library System, Harrington Library Consortium, Texas State Library and Archives Commission. Amarillo Public Library also provides unlimited access to TumbleBook Library, which is an online collection of animated, talking picture books. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book. The collection can be accessed online from the library with Internet connection or from home through the library s Web site.
