Allen Public Library offers a broad collection of books, reference services and online databases for kids, teens and adults of Allen, Texas. The library offers a huge catalogue of books written by various authors on different topics worldwide. It provides Internet access to the public through several workstations. Allen Public Library offers access to the TexShare Databases that enables students to access full-text articles in encyclopedias, almanacs, journals and newspapers. The databases cover a diverse area of subjects, such as homework help for students, health and business information, biography and genealogy information, literature, and information about books and articles. The library also provides various other services, including photocopier, die-cutting machine, microform reader, volunteer program, in-house use of opaque projector, audiocassette player, and lettering machine and lighted magnifier. Allen Public Library organizes various programs, seminars and workshops for its members.
