Alamo Lodge No. 44 A.F. A.M. is the first and oldest Masonic Lodge in the City of San Antonio, Bexar County, with a rich history dating back to its founding in the historic Alamo, the Shrine of Texas Liberty. Established in 1848, the Lodge upholds a creed focused on God, tradition, education, inclusivity, community service, and good character.

Committed to charity, philanthropy, and the betterment of individuals and society, Alamo Lodge No. 44 offers a welcoming environment for men of all backgrounds to come together for fellowship, education, and personal growth through the principles of Freemasonry.

This was a historic stop for us. I found the what I was looking for. While I was there I did see some evidence of a homeless person but I never saw them. We also saw a very friendly homeless...

The free tour was great! Our tour guide was friendly, and engaging. You can tell that he loves what he does! I highly recommend going to this hidden gem! Lots of facts and history

The Scottish Rite Cathedral that the lodge is in is beautiful and a must see if you are in the San Antonio area! For pipe organ lovers, the 60 rank Moller is excellent in size and acoustic ability...
