History

The idea for Akoya Spa began when Judy was having problematic skin over 24 years ago. She tried many different products & treatments & found that they all lacked the results that she desired. Not one of them gave her the skin she wanted so desperately to have, leaving her feeling discouraged & unsatisfied. Instead of letting her frustrations get the best of her, she used them to fuel her desire to become a top aesthetician in the professional beauty industry. In the past two decades, Judy has created individualized skin care plans to help other people deal with their own skin problems without having to face the frustrations that she did along the way. This was the base foundation of Akoya Spa when it started, and it still remains the same today. In 2002, when Judy first opened Akoya Spa, it started solely as a skin care facility; however it has naturally extended into offering massage & acupuncture, because the skin and body are so intricately woven, like yin & yang
