AFSCME 3920

The American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees, or AFSCME, is a union that helps workers across the country secure their rights. Our 3920 branch, located in Gatesville, TX, is explicitly focused on corrections workers, from the guards and security personnel to the office workers and everyone in between. Our particular branch was founded in the early 1990s with one goal: ensuring a safe and secure work environment where everyone is treated fairly and has a high quality of life. In just the past five years, our union has grown from 250 members to over 700 as we continue to improve our impact and reach. Today, we are one of the largest organizations representing TDCJ employees and the only employee group certified by the comptroller to represent our members in disciplinary or grievance matters.
