Volunteer State Community College

Volunteer State Community College, located in Gallatin, Tenn., is a public two-year community college that serves the Clay, Davidson, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale and Wilson counties in Tennessee. The college s academic divisions cover the areas of allied health, business, humanities, social science, math and science. It offers a range of academic programs, such as distance learning, honors program, Volunteer State at Livingston, NewSkills, Tech Prep program, weekend college, University Center and streamlined degree packages. The college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate degrees. The institution has eligibility certification by the U.S. Office of Education and is approved by the State Department of Education for Veterans Education.
