The National Multiple Sclerosis Society offers a range of health care services. It provides prevention and treatment solutions to patients suffering from multiple sclerosis. The organization administers the Young Persons with MS program, as well as maintains more than 1,500 chapter-affiliated self-help groups. It provides informational magazines under the names Momentum and InsideMS. The organization serves patients in over 10 countries and undertakes nearly 400 research projects. It has a professional resource center that responds to approximately 5,000 inquiries. The organization also offers clinical consultation, literature search and educational services. National Multiple Sclerosis Society provides online networking solutions, as well as conducts various fundraising events.

The Community Development Center is a nonprofit organization that provides services to child care providers, as well as individuals with developmental challenges. It provides intervention for families who are at-risk of abuse and neglect; independent support coordination for adults with a developmental disabilities; and services to persons who are at-risk from HIV/AIDS. The center receives funding through city and county governments, civic clubs, churches, businesses and industries. It also receives support from the United Way and United Givers Fund, as well as organizes several fundraising activities. The Community Development Center has been operational since 1972 and is located in Shelbyville, Tenn.
