The Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation is an electric power distribution cooperative located in Carthage, Tenn. Upper Cumberland Electric provides electric service to more than 43,000 members in Jackson, Overton, Putnam, Smith and DeKalb counties in Tennessee. It has a small number of customers in the fringe counties of Clay, Fentress, Macon, Pickett and White. In addition to electric services, it offers numerous specialty services, including heat pump financing, rebates, school programs and incentive programs.
