We are licensed by the State Department of Human Service Childcare Licensing Division. In 2000 and 2001, Tennessee launched a program, the Star Quality Program, to improve child care. Star Quality recognizes child care providers who meet a higher standard of quality. The program awards one, two, or three stars. Each star shows that the provider meets increasingly higher standards. Tree of Knowledge takes pride in being a three star center. In the end, parents, providers, and the state all have the same goal: safe, healthy children who are better prepared for school and life.
