The Wine Chap opened in April of 2009 in the new Hill Center at Belle Meade. Richard, who hails from London, waited for just the right location to open his own store. A lifelong wine lover, Richard has a knack for helping customers with what to drink with dinner or what to serve at a party.

The Wine Chap offers a full range of wine and spirits, with exceptional deals weekly on both everyday wine and beverages for special occasions. Richard Payne, the owner is exceptionally knowledgeable about wine and chooses his stock carefully with value at each price point in mind. Many wines chilled and a full offering of spirits. we are new to Nashville and wine chap is close to Trader Joe's so it was convient. In my 40 years of drinking wine I have bought ALOT of wine but only two bottles that were corked / undrinkable....
