The Minnis House

Located 3.5 miles from Carson-Newman University in East Tennessee, The Minnis House Inn and Guest Cottage is a delightful alternative to the typical interstate hotel for the same rate, sometimes less. The century old home, completely remodeled with all the amenities of a modern hotel, is filled with comfortable furniture, antiques, and stained glass lighting. Private baths in each guest room, as well as cable TV and free wifi. There are two upstairs guest rooms in the inn with one queen bed each, and both have private baths. The guest cottage has two bedrooms with one queen bed each, 1 1/2 baths, fully furnished kitchen, living room, laundry. It will sleep up to seven guests with the queen sofa bed and rollaway bed. Discounts are given to Carson-Newman families and prospective students. Located 25 miles from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and 30 miles from Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Gatlinburg, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. A complimentary continental breakfast of muffins and hot beverages is provided. Rates are $79 plus tax in the inn, and $169 in the cottage.
