The Blue Chair Cafe, Bakery & Tavern

Cafe, Bakery & Tavern located in Sewanee’s Village on the campus of The University of the South. The Blue Chair was voted by the readers of Garden & Gun Magazine as having the”Best of Dixie” Burger & we exclusively offer Jackalope Craft Beer from our brewery in Nashville, TN. We serve Breakfast from 8-11 a.m. M-F & until NOON on weekends & offer a Meat & 3 for Lunch M-F from 11 .m. - 3 p.m. with a selection of eight sandwiches from our Grill menu. We have Tuesday Trivia Night the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month & Sewanee “Spoken Word Night” (come share your poem or song, etc…) the 2nd & 4th Tuesday each month. We also host “Coffee with Coach” on Monday Mornings at 9 a.m. with FREE Coffee during the first & second University semesters. Local pickers perform “Acoustical Jam” every Thursday 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. - come listen or join in.
