Lewis SnyderStudio S Pottery is well known for high temperature stoneware, porcelain, raku, and terra cotta products. We produce all types of functional decorative and architectural work, which is selected to be representative of Tennessee. Our clay bodies are formulated at the studio to meet our production requirements and our glazes are calculated and tested to provide us with a wide spectrum of color. Snyder and son, Eric.Winner of numerous Awards, his work can be found among the collections of Craftsmen USA, Museum of Contemporary Crafts, International Exhibition of Ceramic Art Gdansk, Poland, U.S. Information Service Pottery Exhibition, South America and Africa. His work can also be found in many public and private collections.Eric, a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, has worked with clay since childhood and has been full time with the studio since 1989. He supervises the operation, promotion, and management of the studio. His emphasis is on hand-building, slab work, and the creation of new glazes. His work has gained recognition and has been purchased for private, corporate, and government collections across the United States and internationally, including France, Australia, and Japan.
