Dr. Tekiele joined Loden Vision Centers with nearly three decades of experience practicing exclusively in an ophthalmology practice setting specializing in vision correction surgery in the areas of femtosecond and excimer laser refractive surgery care, lifestyle intraocular lens and custom lens replacement technology and comprehensive medical eye care. Dr. Tekiele earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. Following a hospital-based internship at the Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, Dr. Tekiele completed a residency in Family Practice Optometry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham/The Medical Center. Afterward, Dr. Tekiele participated in specialized, post-residency training in the areas of therapeutic laser therapy for the anterior segment and excimer laser vision correction at Northeastern University in Oklahoma City, OK, completed training and certification in injection and minor surgical procedures at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN and certification on the RxSight Light Adjustable Lens in Nashville, TN.
