I am a native of East Tennessee and I have lived in Middle Tennessee Since 1995. My wife, Shannon, and I fell in love with Middle Tennessee and decided this is where we would begin our next chapter. We moved to Smyrna in 2006. Our two boys were regulars in the Smyrna Youth Basketball League. Mason is now a senior at Smyrna High School. Our youngest son, Jordan, is a sixth grader at Rocky Fork Elementary. Our family is rounded out by Axel, our spoiled pooch and defender of the couch. I am member of Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce and Smyrna Independent Merchants Association. I look forward to continuing to partner with the Rutherford County Community.My wife and I are both two-time graduates of Tennessee Technological University. I completed a BS in Marketing in 1994 and a Master of Business Administration in 1996. While attending college, I became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. We are proud Golden Eagles and continue to serve and support the university in multiple capacities. This fall we are excited to have Mason continue the Treece Tradition as he begins his collegiate career at Tennessee Tech. Wings Up!After college, I began my professional career in the insurance industry where I worked in a Regional Office in Murfreesboro. It was there that I learned the role of insurance in people's lives. I learned valuable lessons regarding empathy, honesty, and trustworthiness. After honing my skills, I left for Tennessee State University. I worked there for 21 years as the Bookstore Director. Over the years I helped thousands of young men and women as they transitioned from student to young professional. I came to love Tennessee State and its students as much as my own Alma Mater. After 21 years, I was looking for a change. A change that would challenge me personally while also utilizing my extensive customer service background and passion for helping others.
