NCA Alarms

National Certified Alarms, Inc was founded in Nashville, TN in 1997 by James A. Stein, because he believed that consumers were paying too much for their alarm monitoring services. NCA currently offers burglar alarm monitoring services at the very popular and competitive rate of $9.95 a month. NCA installed their first customer in April of 1998. Since then they have added thousands of customers. NCA USA, LLC. was founded in 2005 by Drew Trapnell and James A. Stein to expand the NCA alarm monitoring services to other markets in the United States. Trapnell serves as president and is guiding the timely expansion of NCA USA to other markets.. Trapnell's goal is to continue with the NCA business philosophy and business plan while expanding into the Southeast region first and then move to other areas of the States. NCA USA opened its first office in Memphis, TN in June 2005. A native Nashvillian and Vanderbilt graduate, Jimmy Stein started providing burglar and fire protection for Middle Tennessee in 1974, when he founded Allied Security Systems, Inc Allied Security Systems protected thousands of customers in the greater Middle Tennessee area, including Vanderbilt University, Nissan Motors, Baptist Publishing, U.S. Army, and Metro Nashville Government. It also served numerous residences in areas of Belle Meade, Green Hills, Bellevue, Hendersonville, Gallatin, Clarksville, Antioch, Madison, Dickson, Murfreesboro, Franklin, Columbia, and almost every other community of middle Tennessee. Jimmy resides in Nashville, TN with his wife. A graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy and The College of Charleston, Shooter Stein was a co-founder of NCA. He has received experience with a national marketing company, a publishing company, and in direct marketing for the trucking industry. He currently serves as President and is a member of the Board of Directors of National Certified Alarms, Inc He is a valued operational consultant to NCA and has been associated with the development and growth of NCA from its inception. Stein is certified as a "Qualifying Agent" by the Tennessee Alarm Contractors Board. He resides in Nashville, TN with his wife and 2 daughters. President, NCA USA, LLC. Using his experience as Managing Partner of Market Street Advisors, LLC of Nashville, Drew currently serves as President of NCA USA, LLC. Mr. Trapnell's expertise in corporate finance, strategic planning, and business development are utilized in his role with the Company. Prior to Market Street Advisors, Mr. Trapnell served as Partner with investment banking firm Capital South Partners, focusing on middle market corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Trapnell earned his BS in Economics from Vanderbilt University and his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He resides in Nashville, TN with his wife and three sons. When Jimmy Stein founded NCA in 1997, he believed in the Southwest Airlines philosophy of business, Provide a quality service at an affordable price. He was convinced this business concept could be utilized in the security alarm monitoring services business. Jimmy felt NCA could provide quality alarm monitoring services to consumers at a rate well below the industry average of $30.00 a month at the time of NCA's inception.
