Nashville Veterinary Specialists acts as a 24 hour care center, offering emergency services as well as a broad array of specialties including oncology, dermatology, internal medicine, neurology and surgery. Nashville Veterinary Specialists operates out of a 8,300 square foot facility that is located just south of Nashville. Our facility includes eleven exam rooms, dedicated suites for chemotherapy and ultrasound, a special procedures room (used for endoscopy, cystoscopy, bronchoscopy, neuromuscular electrodiagnostics, etc), digital radiology, three surgical suites, in-house computed tomography (CT), an intensive care unit with 30 individual animal housing units, an isolation ward and a canine rehabilitation room with an underwater treadmill. An emergency with your animal is a critical and stressful event. We therefore have an emergency doctor and experienced technical support staff available at all times for you and your pet. We provide care for your important family member when your regular veterinarian is not available. We however work to get you back in the care of your veterinarian as soon as possible. Our emergency doctors are available at night, on weekends and on major holidays to see walk-in emergencies and provide care for our daytime hospitalized patients. Doctors and veterinary support staff are in the hospital 24 hours a day to continually monitor and care for our patients. Care which is instituted by the specialists during the day is maintained at night. Treatments can be easily modified at any time to meet changing patient status. The emergency doctors have training and experience in a broad area of veterinary medicine and surgery rather than in one specific area. The NVS emergency team sees a wide variety of medical problems ranging from minor infections to life threatening trauma. Surgeons, Neurologists and Internal Medicine specialists are on call to perform emergency surgery, advanced diagnostics (i.e. ultrasound and endoscopy) or other specialized procedures.

The vets are good, and Luke is great. However, the blonde vet tech at the front needs to find a different career. She's incredibly rude, unhappy, unknowledgeable, and grossly unhelpful. My dog was...
