History

Michael graduated from Furman University with a degree in Philosophy. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Vanderbilt Law School in 1981 and has been practicing law in Nashville for 33 years. Besides Social Security disability law, Michael works cases involving personal injury and private short-term disability/long-term disability insurance. Michael is actively involved in the Nashville Bar Association, National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR), and local Mock Trial competitions. He is a speaker at many NBA disability seminars and he regularly speaks at local and national legal conferences as an expert on Disability Law. He has been awarded recognition for his outstanding legal work in The Nashville Post, and The American Business Journal.
