David McCoy started McCoy’s Heating and Air, Inc. in 1981. David is a Jackson native who grew up in the West Jackson area. He went to work for a local plumbing contractor his senior year of high school on a part-time basis and soon realized this was what he wanted to do for a living. He thought it was pretty cool crawling around under houses and fixing things, plus it paid well. Many still remember his large service truck because of the lettering on the side of it. "The Real McCoy’s Heating and Air Conditioning" was on both sides of the truck. Many of his competitors kidded him about the truck but people remembered that name and many years later with over 60 employees McCoy’s Heating and Air, Inc. is known for quality service in West Tennessee.
