History

Imam W. Deen Mohammed was elected to the leadership in February 1975. The challenge was set for us as a community to release our best. We represent the Muslim Community following the inspiration of Imam Mohammed in Memphis, Tennessee spanning five decades. This journey back into time reflects hard-work, sacrifice, commitments, and challenges. Insha Allah, we have been able to help Imam W. Deen Mohammed realize some of his vision for us as a united community under One God!

This Masjid is blessed to be recognized as the first Masjid established in Memphis, Tennessee. It has a legacy of strong support for the development of moral leadership and wholesome values for its members and the broader society.
