Knox County Schools has been operational for more than 45 years. Based in Knoxville, Tenn., it is one of the leading school districts in the United States. The school district comprises more than 10 elementary, middle and high schools and special education centers. It provides several sports programs, including basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, baseball, tennis, badminton, swimming, soccer and softball. Knox County Schools organizes various activities and programs, such as an alumni banquet, field day, knowledge bowl, Future Business Leaders of America, junior-senior banquet, scholastic scrimmage, senior trips, state fine arts and academic competitions, band and choir concerts and National Honor Society.
