History

The History of The Knowledge Tree Founded in Memphis, Tennessee, on December 30, 1957 as Fred P. Gattas Company. The company has remained under the management and ownership of the Gattas family throughout its history. The company expanded into school supplies and equipment in March of 1994 with the acquisition of Al Graci Educational Service. Since that time, Knowledge Tree has expanded with additional retail outlets as well as the largest catalog operation dedicated to school equipment in the states of Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi. The company serves the school market through three retail outlets located in Memphis, one in Little Rock, and one in Horn Lake, Desoto County, Mississippi. These stores offer teachers and parents educational material that make learning fun and effective.
