Dr. Muhammad Asad joined Tennessee Heart and Vascular in 2012, after spending more than a decade in private practice in the Nashville area. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and interventional cardiology. Dr. Asad's approach to patient care is earning their trust and putting them at ease. He looks forward to helping his patients feel better and live longer. In 2013, Dr. Asad was the physician recipient of the Frist Award at TriStar Hendersonville, which is the highest award bestowed upon a physician at any HCA facility. Dr. Donald Russo co-founded Tennessee Heart & Vascular in 1984 and is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of heart disease and treats a wide range of conditions, including, but not limited to, cardiac arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, heart failure, lipid disorders, hypertension and pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Russo is licensed in both TN and KY.
