Journeys is a shopping mall-based, footwear and accessories retail store chain with more than 600 stores throughout the United States. Journeys, which caters to teens age 13-22, carries athletic, casual and semidressy shoes by brands as Adidas, Candies, Diesel, Dr. Martens, Lugz, Puma and Timberland. The store concept is a member of the Genesco family of retail stores. Genesco is a Nashville, Tenn.-based specialty retailer that sells footwear, headwear and accessories in more than 1,550 retail stores throughout the United States and Canada. Its products are principally sold under the names Journeys, Journeys Kidz, Johnston & Murphy, Underground Station, Hatworld, Lids, Hat Zone, Cap Factory, Cap Connection and Head Quarters. The company also sells footwear at wholesale under its Johnston & Murphy brand and under the licensed Dockers brand. Genesco is traded publicly on both the New York Stock Exchange and Chicago Stock Exchange under the symbol GCO.
