Austin Beard joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in January 2019 after 5 years of active-duty service in the United States Army, where he served as a Sudanese Arabic linguist and Intelligence Analyst. His educational journey includes degrees from the University of Mississippi, the prestigious Defense Language Institute, and Cochise College. He continues to serve our nation in the Army Reserve. Austin understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping military service members, federal employees, and their families get their financial lives squared away. Austin holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, New York, Tennessee, and Virginia. Austin is committed to coaching clients to pursue their financial goals and lifetime dreams by bringing sound financial knowledge and trustworthy advice to a lasting relationship with each individual and family he serves. His knowledge spans various critical areas, including behavioral finance counseling, risk management and insurance, budgeting and debt management, investment counseling, and retirement planning. With a primary focus on behavioral finance, Austin utilizes both data analysis and an understanding of human behavior to empower clients to make reasonable and informed financial decisions.
