J Bartley McGehee III, MD

BIOGRAPHY Dr. McGehee joined TOA in 2007 after completing a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction under Dr. Richard Hawkins at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas. After graduating from Vanderbilt Medical School in 2001, he completed a general surgery internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Emory University in Atlanta. Although Dr. McGehee specializes in the arthroscopic treatment of sports injuries and soft tissue disorders of the joints and extremities, he also performs shoulder reconstruction including total shoulder replacement and reverse shoulder replacement. Additionally, he treats many general orthopaedic conditions including fractures and joint pain. He has provided physician coverage for teams at all levels, ranging from high school football to professional baseball. He currently assists in team coverage for Montgomery Bell Academy. A native Tennessean, Dr. McGehee grew up in Nashville and was valedictorian of his high school class at Montgomery Bell Academy. Attending Vanderbilt University as a recipient of the Harold Stirling Vanderbilt Scholarship, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Fine Arts. Dr. McGehee and his wife Paige, also from Nashville, enjoy spending time with their four young daughters.

BIOGRAPHY Dr. Joyner graduated from the Texas Tech University School of Medicine with honors as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Prior to earning his medical degree, he graduated summa cum laude from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He completed a five year residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He completed a one-year fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Joyner is on the medical staff at Saint Thomas Rutherford and StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna. He sees patients at TOA offices in both Murfreesboro and Smyrna. His practice focuses on surgery of the hand and upper extremity, to include the shoulder. He works also in arthroscopic management of disorders of the shoulder, elbow and wrist; percutaneous/minimally invasive techniques for the management of scaphoid fractures; and joint replacement/reconstruction of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Dr. Joyner enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife have five children. His recreational interests include fitness activities and golf. He and his family are also involved in local church activities.

BIOGRAPHY Dr. Shibayama graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine with honors, as well as being a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. For his undergraduate training, he attended Northwestern University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. His orthopaedic residency training was completed in Miami, Florida, at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. In 2006, he completed a one-year fellowship in Spine Surgery at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Shibayama is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Shibayama's practice encompasses surgery of the spine. His special interests include minimally invasive spine surgery and cervical (neck) spinal disorders. He currently treats patients at the TOA offices in Murfreesboro and Smyrna. Dr. Shibayama enjoys many athletic recreational activities including bowling, waterskiing, wakeboarding, snow skiing, and weightlifting. He also enjoys spending time with his family and dogs. Dr. Shibayama and his family are members of New Vision Baptist Church.
