Based in Chattanooga, Tenn., Hunter Museum of American Art showcases American art from the Colonial period to the present day. Its collections on display include paintings, works on paper, sculpture, furniture and contemporary studio glass of different styles and periods. The museum provides artwork of several well known artists, such as Thomas Cole, Fitzhugh Lane, Winslow Homer, Mary Cassatt, Childe Hassam, Robert Henri, John Marin and Thomas Hart Benton, among others. It also offers artwork of George Segal, Duane Hanson and Robert Rauschenberg.
