Holly Street History Holly Street Day Care Center was founded in 1983 in response to a growing need for quality childcare in East Nashville. What is today a thriving and eclectic urban community was once considered a "blighted slum area" by the Federal Government, and Holly Street has been active over the last 25+ years in working with area churches and other organizations to improve and serve the neighborhood surrounding the center. Holly Street was Nationally Accredited in 1993, was rated a 3 Star Center by the state of Tennessee in 2002, and has been voted "Best Daycare" in the Best of Nashville poll for three years in a row.
