Nashville’s oldest vegetarian and first certified* kosher restaurant is located on the campus of Vanderbilt University and is part of the school’s meal plan. Grins (Pronounced "Greens"- is the Yiddish word for "vegetable") offers a regular menu and daily chef-inspired specials that will make (most) folks forget about meat. Offerings include grilled sandwiches, made-from-scratch soups, salads, and vegan cookies and muffins so good you’ll eat ‘em as an appetizer. *Kosher Certification provided by Rabbi Saul Strosberg from Congregation Sherith Israel.
