Greve Hall
821 Volunteer Blvd
Knoxville, TN 37996
Greve Hall, originally known as West Hall, was completed in 1956 as a women's residence hall at the University of Tennessee, designed by the architectural firm Barber and McMurry. Named in 1963 to honor Harriet Greve, the hall transitioned to coed housing in 1994 and served various student populations over the decades.
In 2009, Greve Hall was repurposed as an academic facility following a $9.4 million renovation by the Lewis Group, now housing programs like VolsTeach and the Bredesen Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Education. This transformation marked a shift from its original residential purpose to a focus on academic excellence and support.
