The Tennessee Art League was organized in 1954 as a nonprofit organization in the State of Tennessee. The primary mission of the TAL is to assist local visual artists by providing gallery space, workshops, and educational programs. In addition, the League endeavors to enrich the community by providing professional artist materials to schools, teaching art in community centers, senior centers and homeless shelters. the Community Providing educational opportunities and outreach to the community has always been an important part of the mission of TAL. Some of our programs include: Partnering with Metro Nashville schools to provide professional artists teaching "At-Risk" youth in underserved schools. The TAL donates professional artist materials and donates two months of our galleries to a Metro Schools Art Exhibition

The Pennyrile Area Development District is a statutory organization that offers a range of planning and development services. It provides community and work force development services. The district serves Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Muhlenberg, Todd and Trigg counties in Kentucky. It works for the economic development of the region. The district develops and administers various programs and services for senior citizens with limited English speaking abilities, Alzheimer s disease and neurological disorders. The Pennyrile Area Development District provides planning services for transportation and highway safety. The district manages a staff of investment managers, administrative assistants, financial coordinators and program specialists. The Pennyrile Area Development District is located in Hopkinsville, Ky.
