Located in Carthage, Tenn., Smith County Health Care Center offers short-term rehabilitative services and long-term skilled care. It is a part of Kindred Healthcare, which is a health care service company that operates hospitals, nursing centers and a contract rehabilitation service business throughout the United States. Kindred Healthcare operates more than 80 hospitals and over 200 nursing centers. Smith County Health Care Center employs physicians, medical specialists, nurses, therapists, nutritionists, dietitians and social workers. It organizes a variety of recreational events and activities, such as games, learning activities, creative classes, field trips and pet visits.
