Genesis House of Tea

Located in the Historic Dent House, circa 1854, Polly Claire's has an extensive menu featuring freshly prepared dishes and a full scale four course afternoon tea service. Featuring classic southern favorites, British inspired dishes with American flair, and decadent desserts with attention to detail, Polly Claire's has created an extensive menu. The large mansion has seven dining rooms with fourteen feet high ceilings and windows. The only plantation house left in Chattanooga, The Dent House is a spectacular venue for groups and weddings. The fountained park and ample grounds makes the location relaxing and intimate. The carriage house just behind the mansion serves as gift shop carrying the Polly Claire's family recipe of famous vanilla bean scones with trimmings as well as specialty teas, tea wares, tableware, antiques, curiosities, and boasts the only certified Royal Albert China distribution in the area. Extended Hours: 11am-5pm Thanksgiving through Christmas.
