History

Fort Houston is an integrated co-working and makerspace model based in Nashville, TN. Motivated by the lack of proximity to other creators, makers, and resources to physically make things, Fort Houston offers a full-scale wood shop and metal shop helping incubate numerous small businesses during their start-up years. As seen through monthly artcrawl; music shows, events, and other community driven efforts, the facility is complimented by a DIY attitude and culture purely unique to Fort Houston experience. Each Fort sets out on a mission to defend your right to create by combining traditional and forgotten mediums with local tastemakers and influencers. Our Nashville location houses over 80 members and 20 businesses, and through our spring-board method, we have had more than 100 members and 20 businesses graduate from our space and grow their companies.

Specialties

Think of Fort Houston like a gym, but for people who make stuff with their hands. In our 17k sq ft makerspace, you can purchase a membership and start using our tools and machines to launch your next business, create your next custom piece, or simply complete that DIY home project you've been working on! 24/7 access to our facility included a full-scale wood shop, metal shop, private offices, co-working space, and job referrals.
