I can't say anything about the town of Cumberland Gap, but the lookout there is very nice. You get a huge panoramic view overlooking the valley below with a couple of little towns and an airport....
Disclaimer: This review is more for the East Tennessee Crossing Scenic Highway, which happens to pass through the Cumberland Gap. This drive is definitely worth doing at least once if you can...
