Amy Spears Hix, MD, is a native of Nashville, TN. Before launching Highlands Primary Care, she practiced medicine in a variety of settings, which included experience in emergency medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, psychiatry and hospitalist services in addition to family practice. Most recently, she served as a hospitalist at Cookeville Regional Medical Center for six years while also practicing in the outpatient setting in family practice.

Dr. Abram is a native of San Francisco, California. He is married and the father of four Dr. Abram is the co-medical director of the UNITY System at Saint Thomas Health. The UNITY System is the first and only fully-integrated neurosurgical center of its kind in the United States dedicated to treating brain tumors and other brain malformations.
