Chattanooga Fire & Police Insurance & Pension Fund
The Chattanooga Fire and Police Pension Fund, established in 1949, is a defined benefit plan dedicated to providing Police Officers and Firefighters with a secure monthly retirement benefit. In addition, the Fund offers financial protection for the immediate families of members in the event of disability or death.
Currently, the Fund serves over 800 participants, including retired and disabled members as well as beneficiaries, while approximately 800 active firefighters and police officers are enrolled. Governed by an eight-member Board of Trustees, the Fund promotes transparency by holding monthly meetings that are open to the public.
